Hey, Team Ohio!
A couple of quick things to do this week:
PostcardsToVoters.org is currently working on postcards for Senator Sherrod Brown, and they need help! They have A LOT of addresses. To join PTV, email postcards@TonyTheDemocrat.org If you’ve already joined, go to their new website for addresses and scripts (bonus points if you use these exclusive Ohio-themed postcards)! Reelecting Sen. Brown is incredibly important- not only because we need to do so in order to keep the Senate, but also because he’s a champion for workers, and will actually protect the rights of Ohioans. Click here to learn more about him, and click here to donate to his campaign.
ALSO, let us not forget that Vote Forward has two active letter writing campaigns in OH: one targeting Dem-leaning voters and convincing them to turn out, and another encouraging young, underrepresented Ohioans to vote. Write your letters ASAP and send them by October 29. We’re in the final stretch for letter writing and postcarding before the election, so do what you can!
Thanks, all! Keep up the good work. More soon.
Jess
Hi Jess, Ohioan here. I'm going to write postcards tomorrow evening with a group of Democratic women to urge voters to support Issue 1-Ohio voters third time (hopefully) to end the illegal gerrymandering by elected GOP officials in our state. Unfortunately, our Republican Secretary of State, LaRose, has changed the ballot language to thoroughly confuse the majority of voters in Ohio who want to end gerrymandering. I printed out a sample ballot yesterday from our county BOE and his "explanation" is full of disinformation that would make someone who reads it and doesn't know to vote Yes, possibly vote against what they want.
Can you recommend a script?
